Step 1
Layout groundsheet. Layout party marquee on groundsheet. Make sure the party marquee (party tent) is right side up with the underneath of the party marquee (party tent) on the ground (inner wall rope must be on bottom side). If lacing of pieces is required – start on one side the centre hole of the party marquee (party tent) and work towards the side edge. When in the middle place the first hoop through the corresponding eyelet ; do so with the second hoop. Now this time thread the second hoop through the first hoop and pull back. This is known as stitching a party marquee (party tent). Continue the process to the outer edge of the party marquee (party tent). Tie the chain off when at the outer edge of party marquee (party tent) so as stitching does not come undone. Repeat process on other side of centre hole. REMEMBER – DO NOT WALK ON THE MARQUEE AT ANY TIME. PLACE THE MARQUEE ON A GROUND SHEET AS WHATEVER IT IS PLACED ON WILL SHOW UP UNDER THE MARQUEE
Step 2
Position party marquee (party tent) to where you would like to erect. PLEASE DO NOT DRAG THE MARQUEE OVER CONCRETE GRAVEL AND ANY OTHER ABRASIVE MATERIAL. THIS CREATES HOLES. 7ft ( 2.1m ) or minimum 3ft (1m) from the edge of the marquee hammer in your pegs to the corresponding pole hole the corner poles should have the pegs on a 90o angle.
The party marquee (party tent) pegs should be hammered in straight up and down—NOT AT AN ANGLE.
Step 3
Erect your four corner party marquee (party tent) poles first. You can put the other outer edge poles in at this stage but it is not necessary. Once all 4 corner poles are in go to step 4.
Step 4
Erect your party marquee (party tent) centre pole. If you have not already done so place the remainder of the outer poles in there place and tie off. Systematically proceed around the marquee and tighten the ropes on the outside poles. Be careful not to pull the party marquee (party tent)out of shape by overtightening one side. The centre pole should have a rope running down. Tie that rope to the centre pole to prevent the middle of the party marquee (party tent) lifting in high winds and consequently the centre pole falling down.
Step 5
Once all your ropes have been tightened around the perimeter of the party marquee (party tent) to hit each peg with the sledge hammer one or two times to tension the party marquee (party tent) even more. You have now successsfully erected your party marquee (party tent). If you chose to have walls there is an inner rope running along the party marquee (party tent). Each wall has a series of hooks. Simply hook the wall on the rope. Weave the wall in and out of the side poles making sure the wall goes around the outside of each corner pole.
WHAT NOT TO DO : do not use festoon ( coloured party lights ) on the party marquee (party tent).
